A Fine Art Rescue Dog Photography Book
This rescue dog photography book is a curated portrait project featuring rescued dogs now thriving in their forever homes across Massachusetts and New England.
Each dog will be given a two page spread combining fine art portraiture with a written narrative that honors their journey, not only where they began, but who they’ve become.
Every portrait is created with the same guided, unhurried approach I bring to my commissioned work. The goal is simple, to create soulful, honest images that reflect not just how a dog looks, but the connection they share with their people.
My hope is to build something timeless, a collection of stories that quietly shows what rescue truly means.

Why Rescue Stories Matter in Massachusetts
Massachusetts has a deeply compassionate rescue community. From small volunteer run organizations to larger regional shelters, thousands of dogs each year find second chances through adoption.
This rescue dog book exists to honor that transformation.
Each featured dog represents more than a successful adoption, they represent resilience, patience, and the quiet commitment of families who choose to love dogs with complex pasts.
Through fine art portraiture and storytelling, this project aims to preserve not only how these dogs look today, but who they have become.
Rescue is not just about saving a life. It is about building one.

Giving Back to Rescue Dogs in Massachusetts
Giving back has always been a core element of my work.
For this project, I’ve partnered with A Place for Ace, a Massachusetts based rescue devoted to helping dogs find safe, loving homes.
A portion of each session fee and book sales will be donated directly to support their ongoing rescue efforts.
This project isn’t just about telling rescue stories, it’s about helping create more of them.

Why This Rescue Dog Photography Book Matters
A few years ago, after losing two family dogs who had been part of our lives for many years, we welcomed our rescue dog, Willow, into our home.
That experience, along with years of working with rescued dogs, made something very clear to me: these stories of resilience, trust, and quiet transformation deserve to be told.
This project honors rescue dogs not for where they started, but for the lives they’ve built and the homes they’ve changed.
At its heart, this book exists to bring awareness to the work rescue organizations do, and to celebrate the lasting difference that work makes.

Where the Rescue Dog Photography Book Stands Today
This book is in its early stages, with a limited number of sessions being created thoughtfully over time.
Each story is added with care to ensure consistency in both portrait style and narrative. The intention is to build something cohesive, meaningful, and lasting.
Every portrait is created with the same calm, unhurried approach I bring to my commissioned work.
If this project resonates with you and your rescue dog’s story, I invite you to begin the conversation.
