2025 Dog Calendar Contest-Wakefield Dog Photographer
For the past two years we have been running a calendar contest to benefit Gals Best Pal Rescue, and have raised over $12,000! Gals Best Pal is the rescue that we adopted our dog Willow from! The mission of Gals Best Pal Rescue is to be a voice for the voiceless as it advocates for the dogs in its care while finding them safe, suitable, caring homes.
The calendar contest is run every February, and it is an easy fun way to spend the cold winter days! You simply enter your dog and vote! You can have friends and family vote for your dog too! It costs $10 to enter and each vote is $1. The calendar contest in 2025 had so many amazing dogs enter and win! We went with a fine art portrait studio theme photographed at my studio in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
Tri-paw Roo was the winner in a very close race for first place! Roo is a rescue from Gals Best Pal! He was originally named Socks and was found abandoned in Texas with a broken leg. He came in with his sister Izzy and was a ball of fun and energy! See some images of all of the winning calendar dogs below:
Many of these dogs were rescued by Gals Best Pal and their Southern partners. They are all thriving and living their best lives in wonderful families! The 2026 Calendar Contest will once again benefit Gals Best Pal and will be launching in February, 2026!. This year’s theme will be “Dogs in Motion”! I am excited to raise money for GBP, and get the winners out for a fun action filled portrait session with their hoomans! These sessions will be held near Wakefield Massachusetts and the surrounding towns!
Pictured below is my rescue Willow, affectionately known as “The Queen”. From her intake photos to today, she has come so far and is such a sweet soul. Willow is also a Gals Best Pal Rescue! Their are so many incredible dogs in need of loving homes, to learn more about this amazing rescue and how you can either adopt or volunteer click the button below:
